Second Rebirth Quest

Quest Overview

The Helheim Second Rebirth quest is a long, custom progression chain built around the five-floor Maze. You must complete the trials in this order:

Floor 4 has no trial NPC. Alex, the NPC who begins and completes the full quest, is located in Ape City.

Before You Start

• Carry plenty of free inventory space for Shards, Pages, books, PurificationFire, boss drops, gems, hearts, and trial relics.
• Farm several copies of repeatable quest materials whenever possible. Important purification exchanges can fail and consume their ingredients.
• Collect 20 or more PurificationFire early. Many later exchanges require it.
• Complete every trial and boss sequence in the specified order.
• Some private dimensions reset if you leave or die. Bring potions and repair your equipment before entering.
• Do not discard a trial item simply because an NPC has already acknowledged it. Several items remain necessary later in the same trial.

If a trial is performed incorrectly, finish or reset the current trial before attempting its steps again. Skipping ahead can prevent later drops or NPC dialogue from activating.

Strict Quest Sequence — Read Carefully

• Follow the numbered instructions on this page exactly and in order.
• Only speak with the NPC specifically named by your current step.
• Do not speak with another Second Rebirth NPC “just to check” their dialogue. An out-of-order conversation may change your quest state or prevent the intended step from progressing.
• Before speaking with a quest NPC or completing an exchange, remove every unrelated Second Rebirth material from your inventory.
• Carry only the Second Rebirth materials explicitly listed for the step you are currently completing.
• Store spare Shards, Pages, books, Fire, Water, Essences, Fangs, Hearts, Gems, Orbs, and Nexus items before continuing to the next dialogue unless the current step explicitly says to keep them.
• Ordinary supplies such as potions and equipment are fine; the restriction concerns extra Second Rebirth quest materials that may trigger the wrong exchange or dialogue.

Warning: Talking to the wrong trial NPC, approaching the correct NPC at the wrong stage, or carrying additional Second Rebirth materials can disrupt the quest. If that happens, you may need to finish, reset, or repeat the affected trial.

Starting the Quest

1. Travel to Ape City.
2. Speak with Alex.
3. Select “What kind of trials?”, continue through the explanation, and choose “Teleport me.”
4. Enter the Maze and begin with Korrun on Floor 1.

Trial 1: Corrupted — Korrun

1. Speak with Korrun on Floor 1 and accept the Corrupted trial.
2. Navigate through the Maze to the end teleporter and travel to Floor 4.
3. Kill MazeDwellerF4 until a CorruptedShard drops.
4. Return to Korrun and enter the Corrupted Dimension.
5. Kill its monsters and collect 10 CorruptedPages.
6. Right-click the pages to create a BookOfCorruption.
7. Kill MazeGhasts until you have a good supply of PurificationFire.
8. Ask Korrun to purify the shard while carrying BookOfCorruption, CorruptedShard, and PurificationFire. This exchange has a 20% success rate; failure consumes the Shard and PurificationFire.
9. On success, receive a CorruptedGem.
10. Speak with Korrun and enter the Corrupted Dimension’s Boss Area.
11. Kill CorruptedDemon in the upper-left area until it drops HellFire. The guide lists a 25–50% drop chance.
12. Use the central teleporter to leave the Boss Area.
13. Ask Korrun to purify the gem while carrying BookOfCorruption, CorruptedGem, and HellFire. This exchange has a 20% success rate; failure consumes HellFire.
14. On success, receive a CorruptedOrb.
15. Speak with Korrun again to enter a different encounter area.
16. Korrun becomes targetable. Defeat him.
17. Return to Alex in Ape City and hand over the CorruptedOrb.

Efficient preparation: farm several CorruptedShards before attempting the first purification and several HellFire drops before the second.

Trial 2: Contaminated — Noxaria

1. Speak with Noxaria on Floor 2.
2. Use the Maze’s end teleporter to reach Floor 5 and kill MazeDwellerF5 there until a ContaminatedShard drops.
3. Return to Noxaria before proceeding. This conversation unlocks the next quest step.
4. On Floor 2, kill Venomspawn near coordinates 235, 387 until it drops a TornMap.
5. Speak with Noxaria and enter the Boss Area.
6. Kill BigSackBrute in the lower-right area until it drops RestorationWater.
7. Return to Noxaria. She combines the TornMap and RestorationWater into a RestoredMap.
8. Speak with her again and enter the ContaminatedDimension.
9. Do not leave or die before completing the dimension. Otherwise, you must create another RestoredMap.
10. Collect 10 ContaminatedPages and right-click them to create BookOfContamination.
11. Ask Noxaria to purify ContaminatedShard using BookOfContamination and PurificationFire. The purification has a 20% success rate; failure consumes the Shard and PurificationFire.
12. On success, receive a ContaminatedGem.
13. Speak with Noxaria again and purify ContaminatedGem with BookOfContamination and PurificationFire. The exchange has a 20% success rate; failure consumes PurificationFire.
14. On success, receive a ContaminatedNexus.
15. Complete Noxaria’s final dialogue, return to Alex in Ape City, and hand over the ContaminatedNexus.

The original community guide contained “Corrupted” names in two Trial 2 ingredient lists. This page uses the corresponding Contaminated book and gem created during Trial 2.

Trial 3: Spirited — Elaria

1. Speak with Elaria on Floor 5.
2. Find TheOldLady on the right side of Floor 5 and ask her to send you to the Boss Area.
3. Defeat the three dragons and collect their drops: IgnorokFang from Ignorok at the bottom, VulmirFang from Vulmir at the top, and PyrrhavoxFang from Pyrrhavox in the upper-right. The guide lists a 25% chance for each Fang.
4. Return all three Fangs to TheOldLady and receive CleansingWater.
5. Return to Elaria and speak with her twice.
6. On Floor 4, kill Virezzar near coordinates 235, 387 until it drops SpiritOfTheMaze. The guide lists a 50% drop chance.
7. Keep SpiritOfTheMaze in your inventory for the rest of this trial. SpiritedShard will not drop without it.
8. Go to Floor 3 and kill MazeDwellerF3 until a SpiritedShard drops.
9. Return to Elaria and enter the SpiritedDimension.
10. Do not leave or die. Kill BirdOfSpirit and collect 10 SpiritedPages.
11. Right-click the pages to create BookOfSpirit.
12. Speak with Elaria, then return to TheOldLady and receive MiniWater.
13. Return to Elaria and complete the cleansing dialogue.
14. Purify SpiritedShard while carrying BookOfSpirit and PurificationFire. This attempt has a 30% success rate; failure consumes SpiritedShard and PurificationFire.
15. On success, receive a SpiritedGem.
16. Purify SpiritedGem while carrying BookOfSpirit and PurificationFire. This attempt has a 20% success rate; failure consumes PurificationFire.
17. On success, receive a SpiritedNexus.
18. Return to Alex in Ape City and hand over the SpiritedNexus.

Trial 4: Enchanted — Myrren

1. Speak with Myrren on Floor 3.
2. Defeat these bosses in order and collect their Essences: Shadowflutter on Floor 5, Vampyreon on Floor 3, then Batrick on Floor 1. Each is found near coordinates 235, 387, and their drops are not guaranteed.
3. Return to Myrren and continue speaking until she sends you into the EnchantedDimension.
4. Kill 1,500 EnchantedDemons. Do not leave or die before finishing, or Trial 4 must be restarted.
5. After the completion message appears, speak with Myrren until she assigns the Maze extermination objectives.
6. Kill 1,000 MazeGhasts on any floor and 1,000 MazeDwellers from each of Floors 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. A yellow HUD counter tracks this progress.
7. Speak with Myrren after all six kill objectives are complete.
8. Kill MazeDwellerF2 on Floor 2 until an EnchantedShard drops.
9. Speak with Myrren and enter the Corrupted Boss Area.
10. Kill CorruptedDemon on the left side and collect another HellFire.
11. Give Myrren EnchantedShard, HellFire, and PurificationFire. This first exchange is designed to fail.
12. Speak with Myrren and re-enter the EnchantedDimension.
13. Kill EnchantedDemons until they drop Demonheart. Farm spare Demonhearts because later failures may require you to repeat these exchanges.
14. Exchange Demonheart, PurificationFire, and EnchantedShard for a SummoningHeart.
15. Exchange EnchantedShard and SummoningHeart for an EnchantedGem.
16. Exchange EnchantedGem and SummoningHeart toward the EnchantedNexus. The guide estimates about a 20% success rate; failure consumes EnchantedGem and SummoningHeart.
17. After succeeding, speak with Myrren and enter the final Boss Area. She provides a SummoningOrb.
18. Give the SummoningOrb to Myrren inside the Boss Area.
19. Defeat the AncientCreature.
20. Speak with Myrren in the Boss Area or on Floor 3 to complete the trial and secure the EnchantedNexus.
21. Return to Alex at the Ape City quest entrance and hand over the EnchantedNexus.

Trial 4 is the longest stage. Do not begin the private-dimension kill sections unless you have time, supplies, and a stable connection to finish them without leaving.

Final Step: Become Second Reborn

1. After Alex has received all four trial relics, speak with him again.
2. Claim the completed quest status.
3. Select Reborn.
4. Choose your new class: Trojan, Warrior, Archer, Water Taoist, or Fire Taoist.
5. Confirm carefully and complete your second rebirth.

Your second rebirth unlocks the next stage of character progression, including Helheim’s level 130+ Kill Exchange system once its other requirements are met.
