MoonBox Quest
Master the Eight-Diagram Tactics, collect six tokens, and earn the MoonBox required for your level 110 promotion.
Why You Need a MoonBox
The MoonBox is a required item for your level 110 promotion. Perhaps the Job Center crew enjoys collecting eccentric items, or perhaps they are performing moon rituals—who knows?
You may also open a MoonBox to receive a surprise reward. Possible contents include Meteors, equipment, and even socketed items.
Promotion warning: If you still need a MoonBox for your level 110 promotion, do not open your only box. Opening it consumes the MoonBox.

The Eight Tactics
Maggie sends you into one Tactic at random. You will not immediately know which one you entered.

The goal is to collect the tokens belonging to the six standard Tactics. Maggie does not send you directly into Life Tactic during the normal random rotation.

Write down which tokens you have already collected. Random entry can return you to a Tactic you have previously completed.
Walkthrough
- Find Fortuneteller in Wind Plain at coordinates 340, 720.
- If you are at least level 70, accept his challenge and enter the Eight-Diagram Tactics entrance.
- Speak with Maggie at coordinates 19, 19. Listen to the story and let her teleport you into a random Tactic other than Life.
- Kill monsters inside the Tactic until one of them drops its token.
- Take the token to Guardian God at coordinates 204, 149. He identifies both your current Tactic and the token you obtained.
- Record the Tactic name so you can track which tokens are still missing.
- Speak with Ghost at coordinates 8, 67 to leave the Tactic.
- Return to Maggie and enter another randomly selected Tactic.
- Repeat this process until you possess the Peace, Chaos, Deserted, Prosperous, Disturbed, and Calmed Tokens.
- Once all six tokens are collected, continue using Maggie until she sends you into Death Tactic.
- Speak with the Ghost in Death Tactic. He combines the six tokens into a Soul Jade and sends you to Life Tactic.
- Find Lonely Ghost in Life Tactic.
- Agree to help Lonely Ghost become reborn.
- Choose your reward: three Meteors or one MoonBox.
Death Tactic Warning
- Without all six tokens, you remain trapped until your character dies.
- Dying may cause your character to lose items.
- Logging out does not rescue you; the character respawns in the same location.
- Once all six tokens are present, the Ghost can create Soul Jade and send you safely into Life Tactic.
Before beginning the quest, store valuable items that are not needed for the run. This reduces the risk if random entry places you in Death Tactic too early.
Final Choice Warning
Lonely Ghost asks whether you will help him become reborn. Choose carefully:
Agree to Help
You complete the quest and choose between three Meteors or a MoonBox.
Refuse to Help
Lonely Ghost takes your Soul Jade, teleports you out, and gives you no reward.
Always agree to help if you want to finish the quest and receive a reward.
Recommended Strategy
- Keep several free inventory slots for the six Tokens, Soul Jade, and final reward.
- Store valuable droppable items before entering because an early Death Tactic visit may force you to die.
- Maintain a written token checklist rather than relying on memory.
- After obtaining a token, always ask Guardian God to identify the Tactic before leaving.
- If your purpose is level 110 promotion, select the MoonBox and keep it unopened.
