MeteorScroll
Contains ten Meteor attempts. ArtisanWind automatically continues through the scroll while the item remains eligible. Failed attempts may be repaired automatically when sufficient silver is available.
Raise equipment through the normal level range, hunt for sockets, and extend supported level 130 weapons and shields to level 150.
| System | What It Changes | Main Materials |
|---|---|---|
| Item Level | Changes the equipment into its next level version and raises its equipment requirements and statistics. | Meteors, DragonBalls, UpgradeCards, or an UpgradeBadge |
| Item Quality | Progresses an item through its quality grades up to Super. | DragonBalls |
| Sockets | Opens the first or second gem socket on an eligible item. | May occur as a bonus during normal Meteor or DragonBall upgrading |
| Composition | Raises the item’s plus value. The Refined Upgrader extends qualifying items beyond +9. | Pearls or GemOfTheSea beyond +9 |
An item’s level, quality, sockets, and composition are separate properties. Improving one does not automatically improve the others.
Item levels do not always increase one point at a time. Equipment follows the next level defined for that item family, so the next step may be several levels higher.
| NPC | How It Works | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| ArtisanWind | Uses individual Meteors or DragonBalls for chance-based item-level or quality attempts. Failed attempts can reduce durability. MeteorScrolls and DBScrolls can automate repeated attempts. | Repeated upgrading, farming socket opportunities, and progressing ordinary equipment economically. |
| Market Upgrader | Charges a calculated, fixed quantity of Meteors for a normal level upgrade or DragonBalls for quality. The quoted transaction succeeds when all requirements and materials are met. | Guaranteed normal-range progression when you prefer certainty over repeated attempts. |
| High Upgrader / WeaponMaster | Handles qualifying late normal-range equipment up to level 130 for one DragonBall per level step. The equipped item must be fully repaired and the character must satisfy the upgraded item’s requirements. | Taking supported high-level equipment from its final normal steps to level 130. |
| Refined Upgrader | Extends supported level 130 weapons and shields to 140 and then 150 using UpgradeCards or an UpgradeBadge. It also raises +9 equipment toward +12 with Pearls or GemOfTheSea. | Endgame item-level and composition progression. |
Teleporters in major cities can send players to the Sanctified Area where ArtisanWind can be found. Player killing is allowed inside that area, so prepare before carrying valuable materials there.
Normal Meteor and DragonBall upgrading can open a missing socket as an additional result of an attempt. This is the primary method for farming one-socket and two-socket non-weapon equipment. The first socket is normally pursued before the second, and neither socket is guaranteed.
Exact socket chances are intentionally undisclosed. Treat every socket as a rare bonus and never spend materials you cannot afford to lose.
Upgrade preparation matters. Having active Lucky Time and a qualifying Nobility rank improves your character’s luck during ordinary upgrading and socket creation. Higher qualifying Nobility standings provide a stronger benefit.
Contains ten Meteor attempts. ArtisanWind automatically continues through the scroll while the item remains eligible. Failed attempts may be repaired automatically when sufficient silver is available.
Contains ten DragonBall quality attempts. Automation stops when the item reaches Super quality, and unused DragonBalls can be refunded when inventory space permits.
The Refined Upgrader supports eligible weapons and shields. The item must be equipped in the correct hand, begin at level 130 or 140, and belong to a supported item family. Your character must already be at least the level the item will become.
| Upgrade Step | Character Requirement | UpgradeCard | UpgradeBadge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 130 → 140 | Character level 140 or higher | 5% fixed success rate per card | 100% fixed success rate |
| Level 140 → 150 | Character level 150 or higher | 2% fixed success rate per card | 40% fixed success rate |
UpgradeCards are the repeatable gamble, while an UpgradeBadge is substantially more dependable but much harder to acquire. A failed attempt consumes the selected material without raising the item.
Why reach level 150? Maximum-level weapons and shields provide meaningfully stronger statistics, improving damage or defense and playing an important role in both endgame PvE and PvP.
| Material | How It Is Obtained | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| UpgradeCards [0–8] | Extremely uncommon drops earned through long periods of ordinary monster hunting outside excluded special maps. The numbered card received is random. | Individual low-success attempts at the Refined Upgrader. |
| UpgradeCard [9] | An exceptionally rare drop associated with the special Dune-map hunt involving DuneBeast and Rhaegal. | Completes the numbered UpgradeCard collection. |
| UpgradeBadge | Collect every numbered UpgradeCard, sacrifice the completed set to summon the BarnacleBeast on the Beach, and defeat it. The boss drops the valuable badge. | The high-success method for level 130–150 item upgrades. |
These materials are intentionally difficult to obtain. The wiki describes their relative rarity without publishing hidden drop values.
The Refined Upgrader also extends item composition from +9 toward +12. Pearls are the lower-success gambling material, while GemOfTheSea offers set, substantially higher success rates.
| Material | How It Is Obtained | Role |
|---|---|---|
| White Pearl | An exceptionally rare drop from RottenSailors in the Beach Map. | One of the seven Pearls required for the Kraken ritual, and usable for a composition attempt. |
| Other Pearls | Extremely uncommon drops from Utopiec inside of the Sea of Thieves map. | Complete the seven-Pearl collection or gamble on composition upgrades. |
| GemOfTheSea | Sacrifice all seven Pearls to begin the Kraken ritual in the Sea of Thieves, then defeat the Kraken when it emerges. | The rarer, higher-success composition material for upgrades beyond +9. |
A Pearl or GemOfTheSea is consumed by an attempt. VIP players may automate Pearl attempts, but should decide whether automation stops after the first successful composition upgrade.
